The IECEx certification is an international system for certifying equipment for use in explosive atmospheres, for which the quality assessment specifications are based on standards prepared by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), aiming for single certification or single assessment by international standards among member countries.Commencing with twelve member countries in 1996, more than 35 countries, including Korea, are members of IECEx today. It is recognized as a necessary conformity assessment for internationally enhancing the quality and boosting the distribution of products for use in explosive atmospheres.
