ATEX certifies the safety of devices and protection systems used in locations that face the risk of explosion. Manufacturers, importers, and distributors of explosive-proof products of or for the EU market are obligated to acquire the ATEX certification, in accordance to related regulations (Directive 2014/34/EU).
